Equipment - Nordic Ware Grill Pan
This is my Nordic Ware Grill pan. It is one of the best buys I have ever made. When you cook meat or seafood on this grill, it not only looks like you cooked it on an outdoor grill due to the dark lines, it tastes that way as well. The other benefits over cooking on an outdoor grill:
- You don't have that smoke chasing your around like it happens to us when we grill outdoors. You can simply turn your stove fan on if it starts to get too smoky.
- A lot of times, we end up overcooking or undercooking food on the outdoor grill. This pan makes it a lot easier to monitor.
- Preparation time and clean-up is a lot faster and easier using this pan.

Ingredients - Chuck Eye Boneless Steak
Ingredients - Chuck Eye Boneless Steak
You can use any kind of steak. This is our latest try from our steak experiment. This grill cooks them all well. So far, Rib Eye Steak has been the best.
FYI - This grill is great for cooking Salmon and Tilapia as well.
Ingredients - Meat Tenderizer
Ingredients - Meat Tenderizer
This is the only seasoning I use on the steak. I sprinkle Meat Tenderizer on both sides of the steak. It truly does make the steak grill tender and delicious.
Ingredients - PAM Olive Oil cooking spray
Ingredients - PAM Olive Oil cooking spray
You can use any kind of cooking spray. This is the one I feel is the healthiest due to the Olive Oil content.
Step 1 - Coat grill pan with PAM Olive Oil cooking spray
Step 1 - Coat grill pan with PAM Olive Oil cooking spray
For cleaning ease and to help the meat to NOT stick to the pan, liberally spray the cooking spray on the grill.

As you can see, I made certain to cover all surfaces.
Step 2 - Get out Steak from refrigerator
Step 2 - Get out Steak from refrigerator
Take whatever type steak you bought out of the refrigerator.
Step 3 - Wash steak and place on disposable paper plate
Step 3 - Wash steak and place on disposable paper plate
Wash the steak and place it on a disposable plate while the grill is pre-heating.
Step 4 - Sprinkle Meat Tenderizer on Steak
Step 4 - Sprinkle Meat Tenderizer on Steak
Sprinkle Meat Tenderizer on the top side of the steak. When you place it on the grill, place it on upside down. Then you can sprinkle the other side of the steak as well.
Step 5 - Grill Steaks
Step 5 - Grill Steaks
Pre-heat the grill by turning the burner on high for one minute before putting the steak on the grill.
Then place the steak on the grill. Set your timer for 5 minutes. After about one or two minutes have gone by of that 5 minutes, turn down the heat to medium for the remainder of the cooking time.
If you have not already done so, make certain both sides of the steak have been sprinkled with the Meat Tenderizer.
Step 6 - Turn steak over and grill on other side
Step 6 - Turn steak over and grill on other side
At the end of 5 minutes, turn the steak over to grill for an additional 5 minutes on the other side. Keep the heat on medium.
Step 7 - Turn steak over and cook some more until done inside
Step 7 - Turn steak over and cook some more until done inside
After 10 minutes of grilling has occurred (5 minutes on each side), cut into the steak to check for doneness. If you like your steak medium as we do, you might need to grill an additional minute or more on each side.

Thanks for visiting! I hope it helps! Perhaps you could get the pan that sits across 2 burners. Perhaps that would help a lot! I am absolutely thrilled with my grill pan. I have already used it about six times in about a 3-week period with salmon and with steak. Yum!
Another one for me to bookmark again Debbie.
I am going to try it out. I will let you know how I got on with it.
Eiddwen.
Eiddwen, I hope you enjoy it! My husband and I love grilling steaks with this pan. It sure saves time from doing it outdoors.
Best wishes,
Debbie

Looks yummy! Thanks for the hub. I got rid of my Foreman grill a while back because it wasn't big enough for our growing family. A grill pan may be just what we need!
